You can use the alert feature in the OceanBase Cloud console to monitor OceanBase Cloud instances and related applications, and to send notifications.
Background information
OB Cloud provides an alert monitoring service to monitor OB Cloud instances and their dependent resources, ensuring users are promptly notified when business operations fail or resources are insufficient.
Common alert management features include:
- Alert overview: View alert statistics and quick guidance.
- Alert rules: Preset conditions and logic for target objects to monitor specific metrics or events in the system, triggering alert notifications when these metrics reach preset thresholds or specific conditions are met.
- Alert history: Record all triggered alerts and their details.
- Trigger condition templates: A set of preconfigured alert rule frameworks that can be referenced when configuring alert rules, enabling quick rule setup.
- Alert muting: Set specific rules or policies to prevent the system from generating or notifying specified objects of alerts under certain conditions.
- Alert contacts: Maintain members and contact information for alert contacts.
Alert overview
On the Alert Overview page, you can view the alert summary for all current instances, with statistics displayed in the following sections.
Alert navigation: Provides basic information on alert usage, and you can manage alerts through links.
Alert statistics: View statistical data on existing alerts and recent alerts, as well as data on enabled, disabled, and muted alert rules.
Pending alerts: View alert details and sort by First Alerted At, Restore Time, or Alert Level. Click View More to go to the alert history page and view complete alert history information.
Alert trend: Switch to view alert statistical data for Today, Yesterday, Last 7 Days, or Last 30 Days.
Alert rules
On the Alert Rules tab, view existing alert rules and filter queries by Rule Name, Alert Metric, Status, Alert Target Type, or Alert Object Application.
In the query results, you can view Rule Name, Rule Details, Alert Target Type, Alert Target, Recipient, Alert Level, Notification Method, Last Modified At, Enable, and Actions. Alert history
On the Alert History tab, view alert history records. You can filter queries by conditions such as Rule Name, Alerted At, or Alert Target Type.
In the query results, you can view the details of alert records, including Alert Details, Rule Name, Alert Target Type, Alert Target, Alert Type, First Alerted At, Restore Time, Notifications Sent, and Alert Level/Status. For detailed descriptions of alert records, see Alert history.
Trigger Condition Template
On the Trigger Condition Template tab, you can view the existing trigger condition templates and search for them by name.
In the query results, you can view the trigger condition template's Template Name, Template Type, Alert Trigger Condition, Associated Alert Rules, Last Modified At, and Actions. You can also perform common operations on the trigger condition template. Alert Muting
On the Alert Muting tab, you can view the existing alert muting rules and filter the results by Muting Rule Name or Muted Target Type.
In the query results, you can view the alert muting rule's Muting Rule Name, Muted Target Type, Muting Condition, Muting Period, Status, Enable, and Actions. Alert Contacts
On the Alert Contact tab, you can view the existing alert contacts and filter the results by contact name, mobile number, or email address.
In the query results, you can view the contact's Contact Name, Phone Number, Email, Webhook URL, Alert Notification Language, and Actions. You can also perform common operations on the contact.
