This topic describes how to create an instance through the Huawei Cloud Marketplace.
Step 1: Subscribe to OceanBase Cloud on the Huawei Cloud Marketplace
Open Huawei Cloud Marketplace (KooGallery) and log in with your Huawei Cloud account.
Search for OceanBase in the Huawei Cloud Marketplace, and then click OceanBase Cloud on the search results page.
On the details page, click Enable Now.

On the purchase details page, review the subscription information, select the I agree option, and then click Enable Now. A message will pop up indicating that the subscription task has been successfully submitted.
On the same page, click Return to My KooGallery to go to the Purchased Apps page and view your subscription.

Your subscription may take some time to appear on the page. If you do not see it, wait a few minutes and refresh the page.
Find your subscription and click View Resource Details in the Operation column.
In the Application Information section, copy the username and password, and click the link under Frontend URL to navigate to the OceanBase Cloud console. Log in to the OceanBase Cloud console using the copied username and password.
Notice
If you have registered an OceanBase Cloud account with the same email as your Huawei Cloud Marketplace account, Huawei Cloud Marketplace will not generate a password for you. You can directly use the email and password set when registering the OceanBase Cloud account to log in.
Step 2: Create an OceanBase Cloud instance
After logging in to the OceanBase Cloud console, in the Link OceanBase Cloud Organization to Your HUAWEI CLOUD Billing Account dialog box that appears, select the checkbox at the bottom, and then click OK to associate your Huawei Cloud account with the OceanBase Cloud account.

Visit the Instances page of OceanBase Cloud and click Create Instance on the page.
On the Create Instance page, select Dedicated (Transactional) as Instance Type.
Select a deployment region.
Configure the instance specifications.
ParameterDescriptionVersion The version of OceanBase Database. Deployment Mode - Single-IDC Deployment: All nodes are located in the same zone. Supports two or three replicas. To use this configuration, contact OceanBase Technical Support.
- Dual-IDC Deployment: Two nodes are deployed in two zones, and the third node is deployed in another zone, used only for log synchronization and not providing read/write services. Dual-IDC deployment provides the same high availability as multi-IDC deployment while significantly improving cost-effectiveness. This deployment option is available for version 4.1.0.0 and later.
- Multi-IDC Deployment: Primary and standby nodes are deployed in different zones to achieve cross-zone disaster recovery. This deployment incurs no additional cost and all three zones are selected by default.
Zone - Single-IDC Deployment: Select 1 zone.
- Dual-IDC Deployment: Select 2 zones.
- Multi-IDC Deployment: Select 3 zones.
Compute/Storage Different compute specifications support different storage capacities. Choose based on your business needs. In the Quantity section, select the number of instances to create.
In the Summary section on the right, confirm the configuration, then complete the payment to finalize the purchase.
After the purchase is complete, you can return to the Instances page to view the creation progress.
