This topic describes the billing rules for backup and restore.
Overview
The billing rules for backup and restore in OceanBase Cloud include a free quota and a paid capacity. The free quota is related to the storage capacity of the purchased instance. Charges are applied for any usage exceeding the free quota, based on an hourly rate. When the actual retention period of a backup exceeds the configured period in the backup policy, the system automatically deletes the backup, and it no longer occupies the free quota.
Currently, instances from different channels provide a unified free quota policy, but the hourly rates for usage beyond the free quota vary across channels.
