This topic describes the pricing and billing information for the data migration service of OceanBase Cloud.
Cost Overview
The data migration service of OceanBase Cloud provides online data migration and long-term synchronization capabilities. Currently, the data migration service only supports the pay-as-you-go (postpaid) billing method. Users pay the fees based on the generated billing orders. The pricing for the data migration service varies slightly depending on factors such as the cloud vendor region selected for the source/target, the instance specification used for the task, and the network mode employed. For specific prices, please refer to the "Billing Instructions" section.
Notice
The forward and reverse tasks of a bidirectional synchronization task are billed separately. That is, if both the forward and reverse tasks run simultaneously, the fee charged is the sum of the fees for the forward and reverse tasks.
Billing Instructions
Billing Item Description
The data migration service of OceanBase Cloud currently only supports the pay-as-you-go (postpaid) billing method. The billing items are as follows:
Instance Specification: The data migration service provides five specifications: MICRO, SMALL, MEDIUM, LARGE, and XLARGE. Different specifications correspond to different prices and different performance levels for the data migration task. For details, see Data Migration Specification Description.
Source Cloud Vendor: The cloud vendor selected for the source of the data migration task.
Source Region: A region where services are available under the source cloud vendor selected for the data migration task.
Target Cloud Vendor: The cloud vendor selected for the target of the data migration task.
Target Region: A region where services are available under the target cloud vendor selected for the data migration task.
Network Mode: The data migration service provides three different network modes. The system can automatically switch to the corresponding network mode based on the configuration of the user's data migration task.
Intra-city Network: This network mode is used by default if the source cloud vendor and the target cloud vendor are exactly the same, and the source region and the target region are exactly the same.
Inter-city Network: This network mode is used by default if the source cloud vendor and the target cloud vendor are different, or the source region and the target region are different.
Private Public Network: This network mode is used by default if a public IP address is configured for the database connection at either the source or target.
Notice
Even if the source and target regions are exactly the same but the cloud vendors are different. For example, if the source is Alibaba Cloud's Beijing region and the target is Tencent Cloud's Beijing region, the system does not use the intra-city network mode; instead, it uses the inter-city network mode.
Billing Method Description
The billing logic for the data migration service varies slightly depending on the network mode. Details are as follows.
Network Type |
Billing mode |
Billing logic |
|---|---|---|
| Intra-city network, self-owned public network | Pay-as-you-go |
|
| Cross-city network | Pay-as-you-go |
