This topic describes how to create an instance through Azure Marketplace.
Prerequisites
- You have registered a Microsoft account and bound a credit card. For more information, see Purchase a SaaS offer in the Azure portal.
Step 1: Subscribe to the OceanBase Cloud service in Azure Marketplace
Visit Azure Marketplace and log in with your Microsoft account.
Search for OceanBase in Azure Marketplace. On the search results page, click OceanBase Cloud (pay-as-you-go).
On the details page, click Subscribe.

On the new page, select a resource group, enter a Name, and click Review + subscribe.

Click Subscribe.

In the dialog box that appears, click Configure account now. You will be redirected to the registration page of the OceanBase Cloud console.

If you are a new user, register an OceanBase Cloud account and then use this account to log in to the OceanBase Cloud console.
Note
If you already have an OceanBase Cloud account that has not been used to subscribe to the OceanBase Cloud service in Azure Marketplace, you can directly use this account to log in without re-registering.
Step 2: Create an OceanBase Cloud instance
Go to the Instances page of the OceanBase Cloud console and click Create Instance on the page.
On the Create Instance page, select Dedicated (Transactional) as Instance Type.

Select a deployment region.
Configure the instance specifications.
ParameterDescription|Storage Architecture All-in-one storage and computing Database Version The version of OceanBase Database. Instances created through the Azure Marketplace support only OceanBase V4.3.5. Deployment Mode - Dual-IDC Deployment: Two nodes are deployed in two zones, and a third node is deployed in another zone, used only for log synchronization and not providing read/write services. Dual-IDC deployment provides the same high availability as multi-IDC deployment while significantly improving cost-effectiveness. This deployment mode applies to versions 4.1.0.0 and later.
- Multi-IDC Deployment: Primary and standby nodes are deployed in different zones, enabling cross-zone disaster recovery capability. This deployment incurs no additional cost and selects all three zones by default.
Zone - Dual-IDC Deployment: Select 2 zones.
- Multi-IDC Deployment: Select 3 zones.
Compute/Storage Different compute specifications support different storage capacities; choose based on your business needs. In the Quantity section, select the number of instances you want to create.
In the Summary section on the right, confirm the configuration and click Create Instance to complete the payment and finalize the purchase.
After the purchase is complete, you can return to the Instances page to view the creation progress.
