Manage tags

Tag management is a convenient way to organize resources. You can add and manage tags for instances or tenants.

Prerequisites

• If you are an instance admin or project admin, you can add and manage tags.
• If you are a project member, you can only view tags.

Manage tags

Create tags

1. Log in to the OceanBase Cloud console.

2. Click your organization at the top of the page, and then click Manage Organization.

3. In the left-side navigation pane, click Tags, and then on the Tags page, click Create Tag in the upper-right corner.

4. In the Create Tag dialog box, specify the Tag Key and Tag Value.

   Note

   You can set multiple tag values for the same tag key.

Edit tags

1. Log in to the OceanBase Cloud console.

2. Click your organization at the top of the page, and then click Manage Organization.

3. In the left-side navigation pane, click Tags, and then on the Tags page, find the target tag and click Edit in the Actions column.

4. On the Edit Tag page, click OK after editing the tag. The updated tags will be synchronized to the instances or tenants using that tag.

Delete tags

1. Log in to the OceanBase Cloud console.

2. Click your organization at the top of the page, and then click Manage Organization.

3. In the left-side navigation pane, click Tags, and then on the Tags page, click Delete next to the target tag.

4. In the pop-up window, click OK.

Manage instance tags

You can manage instance tags on the instance list page or the overview page of the instance.

• Entrance 1: The instance list page

• Entrance 2: The overview page of the instance

The following example shows how to manage instance tags on the instance list page.

1. In the Tags column of the target instance, click Add Tag.

2. In the dialog box, select tags and click OK.

3. You can hover the mouse over the tags to view or modify the tags.

4. You can use the tags to filter instances.

Manage tenant tags

You can maintain instance tags on the instance list page or the overview page of the tenant.

• Entrance 1: The instance list page

• Entrance 2: The overview page of the tenant

The following example shows the procedure on the instance list page.

1. In the Tag column of the target tenant, click Add Tag.

2. In the dialog box, select tags and click OK.

3. You can hover the mouse over the tags to view or modify the tags.

4. You can use the tags to filter tenants.
