OceanBase alerts are used to monitor failure alerts and notification pushes for OceanBase and related applications.
Introduction
OceanBase provides alert monitoring services to monitor OceanBase instances, tenants, and their dependent resources, ensuring that users can be promptly notified when business operations fail or resources are insufficient.
Common alert management features include:
- Alert dashboard: View alert statistics and quick guides.
- Alert rules: Preset conditions and logic for target objects to monitor specific metrics or events in the system, triggering alert notifications when these metrics reach preset thresholds or specific conditions are met.
- Alert history: Record all triggered alerts and their details.
- Alert rule templates: A set of preconfigured alert rule frameworks that can be referenced when configuring alert rules, enabling quick alert rule setup.
- Alert muting: Set specific rules or policies to prevent the system from generating or notifying specified objects of alerts under certain conditions.
- Alert contacts: Manage alert contact members and their contact information.
Alert dashboard
On the Alert Dashboard page, you can view the alert overview of all current cluster instances and check the statistics in the following sections.
Alert navigation: Provides basic information about alert usage and includes links for alert management.
Alert statistics: Display the statistics of current alerts and recent alerts, as well as the number of enabled, disabled, and muted alerts.
Unprocessed alerts: View detailed information about alerts, sorted by First Alerted At, Restore Time, Alert Level. Click View More to go to the Alert History page, where you can view the complete alert history.
Alert trend: Switch to view alert statistics for Today, Yesterday, Last 7 Days, or Last 30 Days.
Alert rules
On the Alert Rules tab, you can view the existing alert rules, and filter and search for alert rules by Rule Name, Alert Metric, Status, Alert Target Type, and Alert Target Application.
In the search results, you can view the following information for each alert rule: Rule Name, Rule Details, Alert Target Type, Alert Target, Recipient, Alert Level, Alert Method, Last Modified At, Enable, and Actions. Alert history
On the Alert History tab, you can filter alert history records by using the Rule Name, Alerted At, Alert Target Type, and other conditions.
In the filtered results, you can view the Alert Details, Rule Name, Alert Target Type, Alert Target, Alert Type, First Alerted At, Recovered At, Notifications Sent, and Alert Level and Status of each alert history record. For more information about alert history records, see View alert history.
Alert rule template
On the Alert Rule Template tab, you can view the existing alert rule templates and search for templates by name.
In the query results, you can view the Template Name, Template Type, Alert Trigger Condition, Associated Alert Rules, Last Modified At, and Actions of each alert rule template. Alert muting
On the Alert Muting tab, you can view the existing alert muting rules. You can filter alert muting rules by Muting Rule Name and Muting Target Type.
In the filtered results, you can view the details of alert muting, including Muting Rule Name, Muting Target Type, Shielding Condition, Muting Period (UTC+7), Status, Enable, and Actions. Alert notification templates
On the Alert Notification Templates tab, you can view the existing alert notification templates and search for a template by name.
In the search results, you can view the Template Name, Template Type, Alert Target Type, Notification Method, Associated Alert Rules, last modified time (UTC+8), and Actions of each alert notification template. Alert contacts
On the Alert Contact tab, you can view the existing alert contacts and filter and search for contacts by name, mobile number, or email.
In the search results, you can view the contact's Contact Name, Email, Webhook URL, language of alert notifications, and Actions. For more information about contact management, see Add an alert contact, View an alert contact, Edit an alert contact, and Delete an alert contact.
