You can connect to an OceanBase Cloud database by using public or private connectivity.
Connect using private connectivity
You can establish a secure connection between OceanBase Cloud and your applications through the private connection ability that OceanBase Cloud offers. Currently, OceanBase Cloud supports connecting using AWS PrivateLink, Azure Private Link, Google Cloud Private Service Connect, Huawei Cloud VPC Endpoint, and Alibaba Cloud VPC. For more information about how to connect to OceanBase Cloud by using private connectivity, see the following topics:
Connect using public connectivity
OceanBase Cloud allows you to create IP allowlists to ensure that only known IP addresses are allowed to connect to your databases. For more information, see Connect using public IP addresses.
Connect using a peering connection
A peering connection is used for direct communication between different VPCs. By establishing a peering connection, two VPCs can access mutual resources as if they were in the same network. OceanBase Cloud currently supports configuring peering connections on Huawei Cloud. For more information, see Connect using a Huawei Cloud peering connection
