Change a topic

This topic describes how to change a topic in the data migration service.

Scenarios

When you create a task for migrating data from a database to a message queue instance, the data migration service allows you to change a topic after you select the topic type for migration.

Procedure

1. Configure a data migration task to the Select Type and Objects step.

   For more information, see the topic about creating a data migration task between the specific data sources in Migrate data.

2. After you select the objects and mapped-to topics, click the Change Topic icon next to the target object in the list on the right.

3. In the Map Objects to Topic dialog box, change the topic to which the object is mapped.

4. Click OK.

   The selected topics and tables will be merged into the selected topics. Proceed with caution.

5. Complete subsequent task settings as prompted.
