Column filtering

This topic describes how to perform column filtering in the data migration service.

Limitations

You can select the columns to migrate only when you migrate data from an OceanBase database to a Kafka instance.

Procedure

1. Configure a data migration task to the Select Type and Objects step.

   For more information, see the topic about creating a data migration task between the specific data sources in Migrate data.

2. After you select the objects and mapped-to topic, click the Settings icon next to the target object in the list on the right.

3. In the Settings dialog box, select the columns to migrate in the Select Columns section.

   Note

   If you select all or no columns, the data migration service will migrate all columns.

4. Click OK.

   The selected topics and tables will be merged into the selected topics. Proceed with caution.

5. Complete subsequent task settings as prompted.
