Rename a data migration task

This topic describes how to rename a data migration task.

Limitations

• Only users with the Project Owner, Project Admin or Data Services Admin roles are allowed to modify the name of a data migration task.

• You can rename a data migration task in the Not Purchased, Not Started, Running, Stopped, or Failed states.

• You cannot rename a sub-task that modify migration objects while a data migration task is running. For more information about modifying migration objects, see View and modify migration projects.

• Each task of a user is uniquely identified by the task name.

Procedure

1. Log on to the OceanBase Cloud console.

2. In the left-side navigation pane, click Data Services > Migrations.

3. On the Migrations page, click the Migrate Data tab.

4. On the Migrate Data tab, hover over the name of the target task, and click the Edit icon that appears.

   

   You can also click the name of the target task to go to its details page and then click the Edit icon next to the task name.

   

5. In the Edit Task Name dialog box, enter the new name of the task.

   

6. Click OK.
