You can monitor the status of your data subscription tasks by enabling alert monitoring. This topic describes how to create and edit alert rules.
Access the alert settings dialog box
Log in to the OceanBase Cloud console.
In the left-side navigation pane, select Data Services > Data Subscription.
On the Data Subscription page, click ... next to the target task and select Set Alert from the drop-down list.
You can also click the task name to go to the details page and then click ... in the upper-right corner and select Set Alert from the drop-down list.
Create an alert rule
In the Set Alert dialog box, click Create under Task Exception Alert.
In the Create Alert Rule dialog box, configure the parameters as needed.
Configure the rule.
Parameter Description Rule Name The name of the alert rule. It must be 2 to 32 characters in length and can contain only letters, digits, and underscores (_). Alert Object Type The default value is Data Service/Data Subscription, which cannot be changed. Select Data Subscription Task The default value is the target task that you selected on the Data Subscription page, which cannot be changed. Alert Type The default value is Data Subscription Task Exception, which cannot be changed. You can select the appropriate alert frequency from the drop-down list. Configure the notification settings.
Parameter Description Notification Content Only the default notification content is supported. Alert Level The alert level can be Critical, Warning, or Info. After you specify the alert level, the corresponding alert method will be displayed. Alert Contact Type The alert contact type can be Alert Contact Group or Alert Contact. - If you select Alert Contact Group, you can select the target alert contact group from the drop-down list. You can also click Add Alert Contact Group to add one. For more information, see Add an alert contact group.
- If you select Alert Contact, you can select the alert contact in the Select Alert Contact section. You can also click Add Alert Contact to add one. For more information, see Add an alert contact.
Effective Time of Alert Notification The alert is triggered only within the effective time of the configured rule. If you do not specify the effective time, the alert rule takes effect throughout the day.
After the configuration is completed, click Create.
Edit an alert rule
If you have created an alert rule for a task, you can enable or disable the alert rule in the Set Alert dialog box, and edit the alert rule by clicking Edit.
In the Set Alert dialog box, click Edit next to the alert rule that you want to modify.
In the Edit Alert Rule dialog box, configure the alert rule as needed. For more information, see the section on creating alert rules.
Note
You cannot change the alert object type when you edit an alert rule.
After the configuration is completed, click Submit.
View an alert rule
If you have created an alert rule for multiple tasks, you can view the alert rule, but you need to go to the Alerts page to enable or disable the alert rule. For more information, see View an alert rule.
