This topic describes how to change configuration of the compute units and storage space of the Binlog service in the OceanBase Cloud console.
Limitations
You can change configuration of the Binlog service only if the service is in the Running state.
Change the configuration of a Binlog service
Log in to the OceanBase Cloud console.
On the Instances page, click the name of the target instance to go to the overview page of the instance.
In the left-side navigation pane, click Tenants. In the tenant list, click the name of the target MySQL-compatible tenant to go to the overview page of the tenant.
In the left-side navigation pane, click Binlog.
On the Binlog page, click Change Config in the upper-right corner.
Notice
Changing configuration may cause the Binlog service to restart, which may interrupt downstream subscriptions. Proceed with caution.
On the Change Binlog Resource Configuration page, modify the Target Configuration.
Parameter Description Compute Unit The compute unit of the Binlog service indicates its ability to collect and convert Clogs and provide subscription services. The service provides a compute unit quota equal to the number of CPU cores of the tenant for free. It also supports Auto-scaling and Fixed Size for configuration. For more information about billing, see Binlog service billing. Storage Space The storage space of the Binlog service indicates the space used to store converted Binlog files. The service provides 10 GiB of free storage space and supports Fixed Size and Auto-scaling for configuration. - Fixed Size: Purchase a fixed storage space. The Binlog service will be billed based on the purchased storage space.
- Auto Scaling: Configure an auto scaling strategy. The Binlog service will be billed based on the current storage space usage.
After the modification is complete, select I have read and agree to the OceanBase Cloud Service Agreement and Service Level Agreement in the Summary section on the right.
Click Confirm Order. The system will return to the Binlog page, and you need to wait for the adjustment to complete.
For users who have already enabled the Binlog service before its commercialization, a commercialization charge reminder will pop up during the first adjustment.
