This topic describes how to restore data from the instance recycle bin.
Background information
After the deletion protection and backup retention strategy are enabled for an instance, the deleted clusters are moved to the instance recycle bin with their backup files retained. You can then restore the deleted backup files from the instance recycle bin. For more information about the basic features of the recycle bin, see Instance recycle bin.
Procedure
Log in to the OceanBase Cloud console.
In the left-side navigation pane, click Instances.
On the instance list page, click View Instance Recycle Bin in the upper-right corner to view the list of instances in the recycle bin.
In the Actions column of the target instance, click Restore.
Specify the following parameters.
Parameter Description Restore Method Specifies whether to restore data by backup set or by time point. - If you select restore by backup set, the source information field requires a backup set for restoration.
- If you select restore by time point, the source information field requires a time point for restoration.
Restore Backup Set Select the backup set to be restored. Restore Time Point Select the time point to be restored. Target Instance The target instance for restoring data. The target instance must be an empty instance. Note
Instances that cannot be selected are displayed in gray in the drop-down list, and a tooltip appears when you move the pointer over such an instance, indicating why it cannot be selected.
In the dialog box that appears, confirm the storage space information of the target instance and click Restore.
In the Actions column of the target instance, select ... > View Restore History to view the restore information.
