Add a read-only replica to a tenant

This topic provides instructions on how to add a read-only replica to a tenant.

Prerequisites

You have created a read-only replica to the instance. For more information, see Add a read-only replica to an instance.

Procedure

1. Log in to the OceanBase Cloud console.

2. In the left-side navigation pane, click Instances.

3. In the instance list, find the target instance, and click the instance name to go to the Overview page of the instance.

4. In the left-side navigation pane, click Tenants.

5. In the tenant list, find the target tenant, and select ··· > Manage Read-only Replicas in the Actions column.

6. In the Manage Read-only Replicas dialog box, manage the read-only replicas for the tenant. Enable the switch in the Tenant Read-only Replica column.

   Note

   • You can create a read-only replica for a tenant only when the number of nodes in the read-only replica is greater than or equal to the number of units of the tenant and the remaining resources on each node of the read-only replica are greater than or equal to the resources of the tenant. If resource insufficiency is detected, we recommend that you scale up the node specification of the read-only replica first. For more information, see Manage read-only replicas.

   • In the Enable Read-Only Replica dialog box, specify the unit specification of the read-only replica and click OK.

   • After the creation is completed, you can view the read-only replica in the Manage Read-Only Replicas dialog box.
