Update time for compactions

This topic provides instructions on how to change the execution time for major compactions.

Prerequisites

Before updating the compaction time, ensure that the tenant status under the cluster instance is "Running". You can only update the compaction time for tenants that are in the "Running" state.

Procedure

1. Log in to the OceanBase Cloud console. In the left-side navigation pane, click Instances.

2. Click the name of the target cluster instance to navigate to the Overview page of the instance.

3. On the overview page, select Actions > Manage Tenant Compaction Time under Major Compaction.

4. Select a new time for the major compaction and click OK to confirm the update.
