This topic provides instructions on modifying the name of a tenant under a cluster instance.
Prerequisites
The target tenant must meet the following requirements before the modification:
- The target tenant is in the "Running" state.
- The cluster instance to which the target tenant belongs is in the "Running" state.
Procedure
You can modify the tenant name in 3 places on the OceanBase Cloud console:
On the instance list page, expand the target cluster instance and select ... > Edit Name under the tenant.
On the Overview page of the tenant, select ... > Edit Name under the tenant.
On the Tenants page, select ... > Edit Name in the Actions column of the target tenant.
Here, the third option is used as an example to illustrate the specific steps of updating a tenant name.
Log in to the OceanBase Cloud console. In the left-side navigation pane, click Instances.
Click the name of the target cluster instance to navigate to the Overview page of the instance.
In the left-side navigation pane, click Tenants.
On the Tenants page, select ... > Edit Name in the Actions column of the target tenant.
Notice
- The tenant name can only contain uppercase and lowercase English characters, digits, and underscores (_). It cannot contain spaces.
- The length cannot exceed 20 characters.
- The name must start with an English character or underscore (_).
After entering a new name for the tenant, click OK.
