Create an access key

An access key is used for authentication with AWS or GCP and to access the console. This topic describes how to create one.

Create an S3 access key

You must have the iam:ListAccessKeys permission.

1. Log in to the AWS Management Console.

2. In the top navigation bar, click your username and then select Security Credentials.

3. In the Security Credentials > Access Key section, click Create Access Key.

4. Click Display in the dialog box to display the generated access key.

   Note

   • The access key is displayed only when it is created and cannot be viewed afterward.

   • The Access Key ID and Secret Access Key are very sensitive credentials. Please keep them secure and do not disclose them to others.

5. Record the generated Access Key ID and Secret Access Key.

6. Click Close in the dialog box.

Create a GCS access key

Before creating an access key, ensure you have created a bucket. For details, see Create a bucket.

1. Log in to the Cloud Storage Console.

2. In the left navigation pane, click Settings.

3. On the Settings page, click the INTEROPERABILITY tab.

4. In the User account HMAC > Access keys for your user account section, view the created Access key and Secret.

   If you need to create a new access key for your user account, click CREATE A KEY.
