If you no longer need a data migration project, you can release it. This topic introduces how to terminate and release a migration task.
Limitations
Only users with the Project Owner, Project Admin or Data Services Admin project roles are allowed to delete data migration tasks.
For two-way synchronization tasks, release the reverse task before you release the forward task.
Terminate a data migration task
After you terminate a data migration task, the current task retains the configuration information such as the source, target, migration objects, monitoring, and alerts. You can select to clone or release the current task based as needed.
Notice
You can terminate a data migration task in the Stopped, Failed, or Completed state.
Log in to the OceanBase Cloud console.
In the left-side navigation pane, choose Data Services > Migrations.
On the Migrations. page, click the Migrate Data tab.
On the Migrate Data tab, click ... > Terminate Task next to the target task.
You can also click the task name to go to the details page, and click ... > Terminate Task in the upper-right corner.
In the confirmation dialog box that appears, click OK.
Release a data migration task
After a data migration task is released, the configuration information of the task is cleared and the task is automatically deleted. Proceed with caution.
Notice
Data migration tasks in the Not Started, Not Purchased, or Completed state can be released.
Log on to the OceanBase Cloud console.
In the left-side navigation pane, click Data Services > Migrations.
On the Migrations page, click the Migrate Data tab.
On the Migrate Data tab, choose ... > Release next to the target task.
You can also click the target task name on the Migrate Data tab to enter the task details page, and choose More > Release in the upper-right corner.
(Optional) If you selected Schema Migration when creating the data migration task and there are ignored constraint objects, you can click Download SQL in the dialog box.
Note
The Download SQL button will only be displayed after the schema migration step of the data migration task has been completed.
Once the interface indicates that the file has been successfully retrieved, select the path to store the file locally. You can then download the SQL file named
TaskName_constraint_CurrentTime.sql.In the Are you sure you want to release the task? dialog box, enter release, then click Release.
Note
After releasing a data migration task, all data associated with that task will be deleted. Please proceed with caution.
