This topic describes how to start, stop, and resume a data migration task.
Limitations
Only users with the Project Owner, Project Admin or Data Services Admin roles are allowed to modify the name of a data migration task.
You can start a data migration task that is in the Not Started state.
You can pause a data migration task that is in the Running state.
You can resume a data migration task that is in the Stopped or Failed state.
Start a data migration task
Log in to the OceanBase Cloud console.
In the left-side navigation pane, click Data Services > Migrations.
On the Migrations page, click the Migrate Data tab.
On the Migrate Data tab, click Start next to the target task.
You can also click the task name on the Migrate Data tab to go to the details page, and click Start in the upper-right corner.
Stop a data migration task
After the task is stopped, it stops the running sub-tasks in the task list and automatically terminates the scheduling of all subsequent sub-tasks.
Log in to the OceanBase Cloud console.
In the left-side navigation pane, click Data Services > Migrations.
On the Migrations page, click the Migrate Data tab.
On the Migrate Data tab, click Stop next to the target task.
You can also click the task name on the Migrate Data page to go to the details page, and click Stop in the upper-right corner.
In the dialog box that appears, click OK.
Notice
You may fail to resume a migration task if it has been stopped for more than 12 hours.
Resume a data migration task
Log in to the OceanBase Cloud console.
In the left-side navigation pane, click Data Services > Migrations.
On the Migrations page, click the Migrate Data tab.
On the Migrate Data tab, click Resume next to the target task.
You can also click the task name on the Migrate Data tab to go to the task details page and click Resume in the upper-right corner.
