You can connect to OceanBase Cloud using either public or private connections.
Use a private connection
With the private connection feature provided by OceanBase Cloud, you can establish a secure connection between OceanBase Cloud and your applications. Currently, OceanBase Cloud supports connections using AWS PrivateLink, Google Cloud Private Service Connect, and Huawei Cloud VPC Endpoint. Use a public connection
OceanBase Cloud allows you to create an IP allowlist to ensure that only known IP addresses can connect to your database. For more information, see Connect using a public IP address.
