This topic describes how to create an isolation rule for resource isolation.
Prerequisites
The login account has the permissions of Project Admin or Instance Admin.
The database version is V4.2.1.8 or later. For more information about database versions, see Database support versions.
The instance has tenant resource isolation enabled.
Note
If tenant resource isolation is not enabled for the instance, the CPU resource isolation configuration will not take effect. For information about how to enable tenant resource isolation, see Overview of resource isolation.
Procedure
Go to the resource isolation page.
Log in to the OceanBase Cloud console.
In the left-side navigation pane, click Instances.
In the instance list, expand the target instance and click the tenant name to go to the Overview page.
In the left-side navigation pane of the Overview page of the tenant, click Resource Isolation.
On the resource isolation page, click the Isolation Rule tab.
Click Create Isolation Rule.
Configure the isolation rule.
Parameter Description Rule Name The name of the isolation rule. Resource Group Isolation Rule Select different resource groups and set the maximum allowed CPU and IOPS usage percentages and their weights for the groups. For more information about how to create a resource group, see Create a resource group. Note
The CPU and IOPS usage upper limits for each resource group can be set to 100%. When resource contention occurs between resource groups, the system will allocate resources based on the weight ratio of each resource group.
Remarks You can enter remarks about the resource group. Click OK.
On the isolation rules page, you can view the created isolation rule. You need to enable an isolation rule on this page before it can take effect.
Note
Only one isolation rule can be effective at the same time.
