      OceanBase Cloud allows you to create alert rules and specify alert targets for each rule.

      Procedure

      1. Log in to the OceanBase Cloud console.

      2. In the left-side navigation pane, click Alerts.

      3. On the page that appears, click the Alert Rules tab.

      4. On this tab, click Create Alert Rule.

      5. Specify rule parameters.

        1. The following table describes parameters of the alert rule.

          Parameter
          Description
          Rule Name The name of the alert rule.
          Alert Target Type The options are Instance, Tenant, and Data Services. The alert metrics vary depending on the selected alert target type.
          • If you set Alert Target Type to Instance, you can select one or multiple instances, including transactional, analytical, and Key-Value instances.
          • If you set Alert Target Type to Tenant, you can select one or more tenants under a transactional or Key-Value instance.
          • Data Services include Data Archiving, Data Cleanup, Data Import, Partitioning Plan, and Data Migration. You can select the corresponding task as an alert target.
          Alert Type
          • Metric: If you select this alert type, you need to specify Alert Trigger Condition, Alert Metric, Alert Cycle, and Alert Frequency.
          • Event: If you select this alert type, you need to specify Alert Event and Alert Frequency.
          Configuration Method
          • Custom: If you select this method, you need to add metrics to configure custom alert rules.
          • Use Template: If you select this method, you can use existing templates for quick alert rule configuration. For more information, see Create an alert template.
          Alert Trigger Condition Select an operation mode for multiple metrics. Valid values: Meet Any Condition and Meet All Conditions.
          Alert Metric Select an alert metric from the Alert Metric drop-down list. For information about the definitions of alert metrics, see Monitoring metrics for custom alerts.
          Then, specify the values of Comparison Value, Operator, Threshold for the selected alert metric.
          Add You can click Add to add more alert metrics. The system determines the operation results of multiple metrics based on the value of Alert Trigger Condition.
          Alert Cycle The alert detection cycle. The system periodically checks whether the alert meets the trigger conditions based on the specified period. The default value is 3 Consecutive Cycles(1 Cycle = 1 Minute).
          Alert Frequency The frequency by which the alert is triggered.
          Event The event that triggers an alert.
        2. The following table describes alert notification parameters.

          Parameter
          Description
          Alert Level Valid values: Info, Warning, and Critical
          Alert Method The default value is Email+Webhook.
          Alert Contacts In the left-side list, select contacts to be notified and add them to the list on the right.
          Add Contact Add contacts to be notified.
          When the Rule Takes Effect An alert is triggered only within the specified period.
      6. Click Create.
