OceanBase Cloud supports restoring backup data to a new instance by creating a new instance. The initiation of restore is restricted by the backup strategy. If no backup strategy is enabled, the operation to initiate restore will not be possible.
Background information
When initiating a restore task, if you want to restore the data of instance A at a specific time to instance B, then A is the source instance, and B is the target instance.
Initiate a restore task
Log in to the OceanBase Cloud console.
In the left-side navigation pane, click Instances.
On the Instances page, click the name of the target instance to go to the Overview page of the instance.
In the left-side navigation pane, click Backup.
