Monitor the performance of hosts in an instance

This topic describes how to monitor the performance of hosts in an instance by using OceanBase Cloud.

Procedure

1. Log in to the OceanBase Cloud console.

2. In the left-side navigation pane, click Instances.

3. On the Instances page, click the name of the target instance to go to the Overview page of the instance.

4. In the left-side navigation pane of the Overview page of the instance, click Metrics.

5. On the Metrics page, click the Hosts tab.

6. By default, the Hosts tab shows the monitoring data of all nodes in the instance in the last hour.

   • You can select a node from the Node drop-down list to view its monitoring data. If you select multiple nodes, you can click node names in a chart to filter the data to view.
   • You can also specify a time period to filter the data to view.

   The following table describes the performance metrics.

   Monitoring item	Metric	Description
   Load	load1	The average CPU load in the last 1 minute.
   CPU Percent	cpu_percent	The CPU utilization in percentage (%).
   Memory Percent	memory_percent	The percent of memory used by the node. Unit: %.
   Network Throughput	net_throughput	The network throughput of the node. Unit: MB.
   NTP Offset	ntp_offset_milliseconds	The NTP clock offset of the node. Unit: ms.
   Service Hours	uptime	Node service hours. Unit: h.
   OceanBase Data Disk Usage Rate	ob_data_disk_percent	The data disk usage of the node in percentage (%).
   OceanBase Log Disk Usage Rate	ob_clog_disk_percent	The log disk usage of the node in percentage (%).
   Disk Usage	ob_data_disk_used_size	The size of used data disk space on the node. Unit: GB.
   Data usage	ob_data_required_size	Data usage. Unit: MiB.
   OceanBase process status	ob_process_exists	The status of the observer process on the node.
   OB Data Disk IOPS	ob_data_io	The average number of I/O operations per second on the data disk of the node.
   OB Data Disk IO time	ob_data_io_time	The average time spent on each I/O operation on the data disk. Unit: ms.
   OB Data IO Throughput	ob_data_io_byte	The average I/O throughput per second of the data disk of the node. Unit: MB.
   OB Data IO Util	ob_data_io_util	The I/O usage of the data disk of the node in percentage (%).
   OB Host IOPS	ob_host_real_time_iops	IOPS for OceanBase host, in times per second (times/s). Supported only on instances with Alibaba Cloud, Huawei Cloud, and AWS as cloud providers.
   OB Host Throughput	ob_host_real_time_throughput	Throughput for OceanBase host, in MB per second (MB/s). Supported only on instances with Alibaba Cloud, Huawei Cloud, and AWS as cloud providers.
   OB Host Throughput Utilization	ob_host_throughput_used_percent	Throughput utilization of the OceanBase host, in percentage (%). Supported only on instances with Alibaba Cloud, Huawei Cloud, and AWS as cloud providers.
