You can import validation objects by using a CSV file. This way, you can batch import validation objects and perform operations such as renaming a database or table and setting a row filter.
Considerations
If you edit the validation object in an Excel file, separate the fields with commas (,), save the file as a CSV file, and then import the CSV file.
Procedure
To import validation objects, the CSV file must contain the following columns: source database name, source table name, target database name, target table name, and row filter condition. If you select Row Count Validation as the validation type, you cannot specify a row filter condition.
Configure the data validation task in the Validation Objects section of the Select Type & Objects step, and select Specify Objects.
For more information, see Create a data validation task.
Notice
You can import validation objects only when you have selected Specify Objects.
In the Target Object(s) list, click Import Objects in the upper-right corner.
In the dialog box that appears, click OK to go to the Import Validation Objects dialog box.
Notice
Importing validation objects will overwrite your previous selections. Proceed with caution.
In the Import Validation Objects dialog box, click Import CSV File to import a CSV file saved on your local device.
You can also click Download CSV Template File to download a template CSV file. After you download the file, configure the file as needed and then click Import CSV File to import the validation objects.
Edit the validation objects as needed.
Click Validate to check whether the source objects exist and the row filter conditions are correct.
Click OK after the validation is passed.
Complete the subsequent task configuration as prompted.
