  2. In the left-side navigation pane, click Data Validation.

  3. On the Data Validation page, click the name of the target task to go to the details page, where you can view the Basic Information and Validation Details of the task.

    On the Data Validation page, you can filter data validation tasks by tag, type, status, source or target, task ID, or name. The operations supported for data validation tasks vary based on their status.

    Status Description Supported operations
    Not Started Indicates that the data validation task has completed only the configuration information and has not been actually started. Start, view objects, modify objects, clone, view component monitoring, view parameters, modify parameters, and delete.
    Running Indicates that the data validation task is running. Stop, view objects, modify objects, clone, view component monitoring, and view parameters.
    Stopped Indicates that the data validation task has been stopped. Resume, view objects, modify objects, clone, view component monitoring, view parameters, modify parameters, and delete.
    Failed Indicates that the data validation task has failed. Resume, view objects, modify objects, clone, view component monitoring, view parameters, modify parameters, and delete.
    Completed Indicates that the data validation task has completed running without any exceptions. Restart validation (only full validation and row count validation support), view objects, modify objects, clone, view component monitoring, view parameters, and delete.
    Modifying Indicates that the data validation task is being modified. View objects, clone, view component monitoring, and view parameters.

View basic information

The Basic Information section displays the basic information of the current data validation task.

Parameter Description
ID The unique ID of the data validation task.
Connection Details Click View Details to view the details about the data sources of the source and target of the data validation task.
Alert Level The alert level of the current task. OMS supports the following alert levels: No Protection, High Protection, Medium Protection, and Low Protection. For more information, see Alert settings.
Created By The creator of the data validation task.
Validation Type The validation type selected when the data validation task was created.
Created At The time when the data validation task was created.

You can perform the following operations:

  • Start, stop, or resume a data validation task. For more information, see Start, stop, or resume a data validation task.

  • Restart validation

    You can click Restart Validation in the upper-right corner of the page to initiate a new data validation task for all validation objects of a data validation task that is in the Completed state and is of the full validation or row count validation type.

  • View or modify validation objects

    Click View Objects in the upper-right corner of the page to view the validation objects of the current data validation task. You can also modify the validation objects when the data validation task is in the Not Started, Stopped, Failed, or Completed state. For more information, see View and modify validation objects.

  • View or modify validation parameters

    Click ... > View Parameters or Modify Parameters in the upper-right corner of the page to view or modify the parameters set when the data validation task was created. For more information, see View and modify validation parameters.

  • Clone a data validation task

    Click ... > Clone in the upper-right corner of the page to clone the current data validation task. You can modify the relevant configurations as needed during the cloning process. For more information, see Clone a data validation task.

  • Delete a data validation task

    You can click ... > Delete in the upper-right corner of the page to delete a data validation task that is in the Not Started, Stopped, Failed, or Completed state. For more information, see Delete a data validation task.

View validation details

The Validation Details section displays the pre-check task status, results, and validation status and results for the corresponding validation type.

Full validation

You can view the status and result of a full validation task, as well as the start time, end time, estimated total number of rows, number of rows verified, RPS, and BPS in the validation details section.

The validation details section includes the Validation Objects and Validation Performance tabs.

  • On the Validation Objects tab, you can view the validation object list and perform operations on the objects.

    • You can view information such as the source table, source database, target table, target database, status, and validation result for all validation objects.

    • You can filter validation objects by source database, target database, or validation result.

    • You can select View Completed Objects Only to view information about objects that have been validated at the current time point.

    • For tables with a validation result of Inconsistent, you can perform the following actions:

      • View inconsistent data: Click View in the Actions column. In the panel that appears, view details such as the issue type, field name, source value, and target value of the inconsistent data.

      • Recalibrate data: Click Revalidate in the Actions column. In the dialog box that appears, select Entire Table or Only Mismatched Data as the validation scope, and then click Revalidate.

        You can also select multiple tables that contain inconsistent data and click Revalidate at the bottom of the page to perform batch revalidation.

      • Correct inconsistent data: Click Correct in the Actions column to view the correction SQL statement. After confirming that the correction is needed, click OK in the dialog box that appears.

    • For tables with a validation result of Other Errors, you can perform the following actions:

      • View inconsistent data: View in the Actions column. In the panel that appears, view details such as the issue type, field name, source value, and target value of the inconsistent data.

      • Resume data validation task: Click Resume in the Actions column. In the dialog box that appears, click Resume.

        You can also select multiple tables that contain other errors and click Resume at the bottom of the page to perform batch resumption.

      • Remove validation objects with errors: Click Remove in the Actions column. In the dialog box that appears, click Remove.

        You can also select multiple tables that contain other errors and click Remove at the bottom of the page to perform batch removal.

    • For tables with a validation result of Not Supported, you can click Remove in the Actions column. In the dialog box that appears, click Remove.

      You can also select multiple tables that are not supported and click Remove at the bottom of the page to perform batch removal. For more information about unsupported validation, see Verification error codes.

  • On the Validation Performance tab, you can view the performance data such as Source RPS, Target RPS, Source Validation Traffic, and Target Validation Traffic in a graphical format to help you effectively identify performance-related issues.

Row validation

You can view the status and result of a row validation task, as well as the start and end time, in the validation details section.

  • You can view information such as the source table, source database, target table, target database, status, and validation result for all validation objects.

  • You can filter validation objects by source database, target database, or validation result.

  • For tables whose validation result is Inconsistent, you can click Revalidate in the Actions column. After the confirmation message appears, click Revalidate.

    You can also select multiple tables with inconsistent data and click Revalidate at the bottom of the page to perform batch re-validation.

  • For tables whose validation result is Other Errors, you can perform the following actions:

    • Resume the data validation task: Click Resume in the Actions column. After the confirmation message appears, click Resume.

      You can also select multiple tables with other anomalies and click Resume at the bottom of the page to perform batch resumption.

  • For tables whose validation result is Not Supported, you can click Remove in the Actions column. After the confirmation message appears, click Remove.

    You can also select multiple tables that are not supported and click Remove at the bottom of the page to perform batch removal. For details about unsupported validation, see Verification error codes.

Incremental validation

You can view the status and result of an incremental validation task, as well as the source read timestamp, target read timestamp, validation start timestamp, and validation end timestamp in the validation details section.

The validation details section includes the Validation Objects and Validation Performance tabs.

  • On the Validation Objects tab, you can view the validation object list and perform operations on the objects.

    • You can view information such as the source table, source database, target table, target database, status, and validation result for all validation objects.

    • You can filter validation objects by source database, target database, or validation result.

    • You can select View Mismatched Objects Only to view the validation objects that contain inconsistent data at the current point in time.

    • For tables whose validation result is Other Errors, you can perform the following operations:

      • Restore the data validation task: click Resume in the Actions column. After confirming the message in the dialog box, click Resume.

        You can also select multiple tables with other anomalies and click Resume at the bottom of the page to perform batch resumption.

      • Remove the validation objects with anomalies: click Remove in the Actions column. After confirming the message in the dialog box, click Remove.

        You can also select multiple tables with other anomalies and click Remove at the bottom of the page to perform batch removal.

    • For tables whose validation result is Not Supported, you can click Remove in the Actions column. After confirming the message in the dialog box, click Remove.

      You can also select multiple tables that are not supported and click Remove at the bottom of the page to perform batch removal. For more information about unsupported validation, see Verification error codes.

  • On the Validation Performance tab, you can view the performance data such as Source RPS, Target RPS, Source Validation Traffic, and Target Validation Traffic in graphs to effectively identify performance-related issues.
