The Web OceanBase Developer Center (ODC) provides management and collaboration capabilities in addition to tool capabilities. It focuses on the security, compliance, and efficiency of database changes. This chapter describes how to get started with the Web ODC.
The following process helps you understand and quickly get started with Web ODC.

| Step | Operation | Description |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Deploy single Web ODC | Deploy an ODC application node, which processes all user requests. |
| 1 | Log in to Web ODC | You can log in to ODC for user identification. Data source configurations and SQL script features in the workspace depend on user identification. |
| 2 | Manage users | Add an ODC user and grant roles with relevant data source privileges to the user. |
| 3 | Create a data source | Connect an OceanBase database to ODC and edit and manage the database objects and resources. |
| 4 | Create a project | Add databases and members to the project for team collaboration and security control. The project primarily consists of project members, databases, and work orders. Project members operate databases with relevant access permissions either through an SQL window or by submitting work orders. Once a work order is submitted, it is approved or exempted from approval by designated project team members based on the control policies corresponding to the database environment, completing a database operation. |
| 5 | Add databases to the project | Add a database in the data source to the project. |
| 6 | Edit and execute SQL statements | Edit and execute SQL statements in the SQL window of ODC. |
| 7 | Create a database change task | Introduce a change to the data in the database. |
After completing the preceding steps, you can develop and manage your OceanBase database by using Web ODC.
