Column filtering

This topic describes how to use the column filtering feature of OceanBase Migration Service (OMS).

Procedure

1. Configure the data migration, data synchronization, or data validation task to the Select Migration Objects, Select Synchronization Objects, or the select Validation Objects step.

   For more information, see the corresponding data migration, data synchronization, or data validation task topic.

2. After the migration/synchronization/validation objects and mapping mode are selected, hover the pointer over the target object in the Target Object(s) column, and click Settings that appears.

   Notice

   In a data validation task, if the validation type is set to Row Count Validation, the settings operation is not supported.

   

3. In the Settings dialog box, click the enable button next to Select Columns.

   Notice

   If you select or clear the check boxes of all columns, OMS will migrate, synchronize, and validate all columns.

4. In the Select Columns section, select the columns that you want to migrate, synchronize, or validate.

   You can also enter the keyword of the target column in the search box to search for the column.

5. (Optional) If you want to modify the name of the target column, perform the following steps:

   1. Select the target column and hover the pointer over the column name.

   2. Click the Edit icon that appears.

   3. In the Modify Column Name dialog box, enter the new column name.

   4. Click Save .

6. In the Settings dialog box, click Save.

7. Complete the task configuration as prompted.
