This topic describes the version number rules of OceanBase Migration Service (OMS) and their meanings.
OMS is continuously iterated and optimized, and new versions are released periodically. Different versions of OMS may have significant differences in features and capabilities. Therefore, it is important to identify the OMS version to obtain accurate documentation information.
OMS version numbers are in the V.x.y.z format, where:
x represents the major version. This version typically includes architecture upgrades or major new features.
y represents the planned iteration version. This version is part of the normal iteration plan, and includes important feature updates and improvements.
z represents the release update version. This version includes minor feature updates and bug fixes for known issues.
The fourth version number is usually BP. For example, V4.3.0 BP1, V4.3.0 BP2, etc. This is used for scenarios where a higher version number is needed due to feature updates or bug fixes.
Check the version number
After you deploy OMS, you can check the current OMS version number by following these steps:
Log in to the OMS console.
Hover over Help in the upper-right corner and click About OMS.
In the dialog box that appears, view the current OMS version number. For example, the version number is V4.3.1.
