This topic describes how to configure resources for OceanBase Cloud Platform (OCP) Agent on all hosts in a cluster on the OCP Agent Resource Configuration tab. For more information about changing the specification of OCP Agent for a specific host, see View details of a host.
Prerequisites
Make sure that you have the following permissions:
- Resource permissions: Cluster maintenance permission.
- Menu permissions: Permission on the Overview menu of clusters.
Procedure
Log in to the OCP console.
In the left-side navigation pane, click Clusters. The Clusters tab automatically appears.
On the Clusters page, find the target cluster and click its name.
On the Overview page of the cluster, click the More icon in the upper-right corner and select O&M Configuration. The Parameter Management tab automatically appears.
Click the OCP Agent Resource Configuration tab, and view the IP address, name, zone, process, and specification of all hosts in the cluster.
Click Change Specification in the upper-right corner. In the Change OCP Agent Specification panel, adjust the CPU and memory settings of OCP Agent for all hosts in the cluster.
Notice
- We recommend that you set the specification to no greater than 6 cores and 12 GiB of memory.
- We recommend that the memory specified for the `ocp_monagent` process be lower than the available physical memory size of each host in the cluster. Otherwise, the configuration may fail. To view the memory usage of a host, choose Performance Monitoring > Host Performance > Host Dimension > Memory.
- By default, this operation changes the specification of OCP Agent for all hosts in the cluster. Make sure that the hosts have sufficient CPU and memory resources. Otherwise, the system performance may decrease.
- The specification change takes effect after OCP Agent restarts. During the restart, OCP cannot perform O&M operations, and some monitoring data will be lost. Proceed with caution. For more information, see Restart OCP Agent.
