This topic describes how to associate an arbitration service to one or more OceanBase clusters. Before you associate an arbitration service to a cluster, configure CPU, memory, and disk resources for the arbitration service properly to avoid the situations where a single arbitration service cannot support the business load under abnormal scenarios.
Applicability
This topic applies only to OceanBase Cloud Platform (OCP) Enterprise Edition. OCP Community Edition does not support this feature.
Prerequisites
Make sure that you have the following permissions:
- Resource permissions: Arbitration service maintenance permission.
- Menu permissions: Permission on the Overview menu of clusters.
The arbitration service is in the Running state.
The level-1 and level-2 version numbers of the OceanBase cluster to associate are the same as those of the arbitration service. For example, the version numbers of both the OceanBase cluster and the arbitration service are V4.2.x.x.
Procedure
Log in to the OCP console.
In the left-side navigation pane, click Clusters. The Clusters tab automatically appears.
Click the Arbitration Service tab to view the list of arbitration services.
Find the arbitration service to associate, click More in the Actions column, and select Associate Cluster.
In the panel that appears, select one or more OceanBase clusters to associate, and determine whether to select Enable Arbitration Service for 4F/2F Tenants. If you select this option, the arbitration service is enabled for the tenants that have two or four full-featured replicas in the cluster.
Click Associate.
