Change the password

You can change the password for the root user of the SYS tenant in your cluster as needed.

Prerequisites

Make sure that you have the following permissions:

• Resource Permissions : Cluster Maintenance permission
• Menu Permissions : Permission on the Overview menu of Clusters

Procedure

1. Log on to the OceanBase Cloud Platform (OCP) console.

2. In the left-side navigation pane, click Clusters .

3. In the Clusters list, find the target cluster and click its name.

4. Click the More icon ( ... ) in the upper-right corner on the Overview page and choose Change Password .

5. In the Change Password dialog box, set and confirm the new password.

   

   The password must be 8 to 32 characters in length, and contains at least three of the following character types: digits(0~9), uppercase letters(A~Z), lowercase letters(a~z), and special characters (ie: ~!@#%^&*_-+=|(){}[]:;,.?/).

6. Click OK .
