Edit a tenant replica in a zone

This topic describes how to edit a tenant replica in a zone.

Note

Modifying the unit specifications triggers partition replica migration, and increases the storage I/O of OBServer nodes and the network traffic between OBServer nodes. To control traffic surges, we recommend that you change the values of the ha_high_thread_score and ha_mid_thread_score parameters, or perform resource isolation for HA_HIGH and HA_MID background tasks.

Prerequisites

Make sure that you have the following permissions:
- Resource Permissions : Cluster Maintenance or Tenant Maintenance permission
- Menu Permissions : Permission on the Overview menu of Tenants
If you want to use a resource unit whose specifications are lower than the default minimum specifications in an OceanBase cluster of V4.0.0 or later, you can specify the unit specifications by using the __min_full_resource_pool_memory parameter. For more information about how to modify the parameter of an OceanBase cluster of V4.1.0, see Modify cluster parameters.
If a user tenant belongs to an OceanBase cluster of V4.2.0 or later and the tenant parameter enable_rebalance is set to false, you cannot change the number of units for zones.

Procedure

Log in to the OceanBase Cloud Platform (OCP) console.
In the left-side navigation pane, select Tenants . The Tenants page automatically appears.
On the Tenants page, find the target tenant and click its name to go to the Overview page of the tenant.
In the Replica Details section, select the zone that you want to modify and click Edit in the Actions column.
Note
- We recommend that you configure consistent specifications for all resource units in the same tenant.
- You cannot change the Read-only Columnstore Replica type to other types, or change the Full-featured Replica or Read-only Replica type to the Read-only Columnstore Replica type.
- In a standalone centralized database, you can modify only the unit specifications for a tenant.
- For more information about the replica types, unit specifications, and number of units, see Create a tenant.
Click OK .
