Backup and restore guide

This topic describes how to use the backup and restore guide.

Prerequisites

Make sure that you have the following permissions:

• Resource Permissions : Cluster Read-only or Tenant Read-only permission
• Menu Permissions : Permission on the Overview menu of Backup & Recovery

Procedure

1. Log on to the OceanBase Cloud Platform (OCP) console.

2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Backup & Recovery > Overview .

   Check whether the Welcome to the Backup & Recovery Guide page is displayed.

   

   • If yes, click Use Now .

   • If not, click the More icon in the upper-right corner and select Backup Recovery Guide.

3. On the Guide page, click Install or Skip .

   The Guide page will guide you through a series of steps. For more information, see Create a cluster-level backup strategy, Create a tenant-level backup strategy, and Create a sampling strategy for recovery.

   • To perform the corresponding steps, see the corresponding topics.

   • You can also click Skip at the lower part of the page if you do not need to perform these steps.
