Apply for database permissions

This topic describes how to apply for database permissions.

Procedure

1. Log in to the Web ODC console. In the left-side navigation pane of the project collaboration window, click Tickets.

2. Choose Create > Database Permission.

3. In the Database Permission Application dialog box, specify the following parameters:

   Parameter	Description
   Project	The project to which the database belongs. After the permissions are granted, you can manage the permissions in this project.
   Databases	The databases for which you want to apply for permissions.
   Permission Type	Query: the permission to execute query statements. Export: the permission to create an export ticket or an export result set ticket. Change: the permission to create a database change ticket (including import, mock data, database change, shadow table synchronization, SQL plan, partition plan, data archiving, and data cleanup tickets) and the permission to execute change statements in the SQL window. The execution of change statements in the SQL window is subject to security specifications.
   Permission Expiration Policy	The validity period of the permissions after they are granted.
   Reason for Application	The reason for applying for the permissions.

4. Click Apply to submit the ticket.

5. In the Tickets page, click View in the Actions column to view the Basic Information, Workflow, and Logs of the ticket.

6. After the ticket is approved, the permissions take effect. You can perform database maintenance operations.
