This topic describes how to replace a failed arbitration service with a new one when the server hosting the arbitration service fails.
Applicability
This topic applies only to OCP Enterprise Edition. OCP Community Edition does not support the arbitration service.
Prerequisites
The login user in the OCP console has the following permissions:
- Cluster Maintenance permissions on resources.
- Permissions on the Overview menu.
The new arbitration service is in the Running state.
Log streams of the tenant associated with the arbitration service are not downgraded.
The primary and secondary version numbers of the OceanBase cluster and the new arbitration service are the same. For example, the version of the OceanBase cluster and the new arbitration service are both V4.2.x.x.
Procedure
Log in to the OCP console.
In the left-side navigation pane, click Clusters. The Clusters page automatically appears.
In the Clusters list on the page, find the target cluster and click its name.
On the Overview page of the cluster, find the arbitration service that needs to be replaced in the Arbitration Service List section and click Replace Service in the Actions column.
In the panel that appears, select an arbitration service. You can also click Create Service at the bottom of the drop-down list to create an arbitration service for the cluster. For more information, see Create an arbitration service.
Notice
During the replacement, the arbitration service is unavailable, which may affect the high availability feature of the tenant replicas.
Click Submit.
