This topic describes the steps of switchover between the primary cluster and a standby cluster for disaster recovery.
Prerequisites
Make sure that you have the following permissions:

Resource Permissions : Cluster Maintenance permission -
Menu Permissions : Permission on theOverview menu ofClusters

You have logged on to a standby cluster.
The primary cluster of the current cluster is stopped or unavailable.
The version of OceanBase Database is V2.2.76 or later.
Procedure
Log on to the OceanBase Cloud Platform (OCP) console. In the left-side navigation pane, click Clusters. In the Clusters list, click the name of the target cluster.
On the page that appears, click the More icon in the upper-right corner to expand the hidden menu and select
Switch to Primary Cluster: Disaster Recovery .
In the dialog box that appears, click Switching Disaster Recovery .

Return to the homepage. In the left-side navigation pane, choose System Management > Tasks to check the task progress.
Note
- After the switchover succeeds, the original primary cluster does not switch to be a standby cluster. Instead, it becomes a separate unusable cluster. We recommend that you delete it from OCP. For more information, see Delete a cluster.
- After the switchover succeeds, other standby clusters of the original primary cluster cannot synchronize data with the new primary cluster. We recommend that you delete the standby clusters from the OCP. See Delete a cluster.
