This topic describes how to create an alert push. After you create an alert push, OceanBase Cloud Platform (OCP) will send alert messages to you through the specified alert channel.

Prerequisites

You have created an alert rule. For more information, see Create an alert rule.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the OCP console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Monitoring and Alert > Alerts.

  3. On the Alert Pushes tab, click Create Push Configuration.

  4. On the Create Push Configuration page, select a push type in the Push Configuration section.

The system supports two push types: Alert Template and Alert Group.

    • Alert Template

If you select Alert Template, all alert templates in the system are displayed on the tab. Select a template. Alert messages will be pushed to all objects in the template.

    Note

If no alert object is set for an alert template, the template is unavailable. For more information about how to add alert objects to an alert template, see Set alert objects.

    • Alert Group

If you select Alert Group, you can choose to push alert messages of specific objects. If you do not specify objects, the system pushes alert messages based on the group configuration rule and alert object configuration.

      Notice

      • You must at least specify an object range.
      • In OceanBase Cloud Platform (OCP), if you specify the object range to Service or Backup and Recovery, you do not need to specify objects.
      • In OceanBase Migration Service (OMS), if you specify the object range to Service, you do not need to specify objects.

  5. Configure the following information in the Message Push Configuration section:

    1. Select a language for pushing messages. Options include Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, and English.

    2. Specify the alert method, including Alert Level and Alert Channel.

Select an alert level and specify an alert channel for pushing messages for the selected alert level. If you do not want to receive pushed messages in a specified period of time, set Send Notifications in Specified Period. If you do not set this parameter, you will receive pushed messages throughout the day.

      Note

You must configure an alert channel for at least one alert level.

      3

    3. Specify whether to enable Maximum Number of Received Alert Messages.

If you enable this option, the number of alert messages sent through the alert channel is limited. When the number of alert messages exceeds the limit, the alert channel no longer pushes alert messages.

      4

    4. Specify whether to enable Recovery Notification.

If you enable this option, a notification message is sent when the pushed alert rule is recovered.

    5. Specify whether to Enable Message Push.

You can disable the alert push if it is not in use.

  6. Click Submit.
