Purpose
NLS_UPPER() converts all letters in a string to uppercase.
Syntax
NLS_UPPER(char [, 'nlsparam' ])
Parameters

| char | The string to be converted. It can be of the CHAR, VARCHAR2, NCHAR, NVARCHAR2, or CLOB data type. |
| nlsparam | The sort order of the returned string. This parameter is optional. Note: The current version of OceanBase Database does not support this parameter. |
Return type
The return type is the same as the data type of char.
Examples
The following example converts all letters in OceanBase to uppercase.
