The SA_COMPONENTS.ALTER_LEVEL procedure alters the short name and long name of a level.
Level numbers cannot be changed after they are defined. For a level being used in an existing label, you can change its long name but cannot change its short name.
Applicability
This topic applies only to OceanBase Database Enterprise Edition. OceanBase Database Community Edition provides only the MySQL mode.
Syntax
SA_COMPONENTS.ALTER_LEVEL (
policy_name IN VARCHAR,
level_num IN NUMBER,
new_short_name IN VARCHAR := NULL,
new_long_name IN VARCHAR := NULL
);
Parameters
| Parameter | Description |

| policy_name | The policy name. You can query the POLICY_NAME column of the ALL_SA_POLICIES data dictionary view for existing policies. |
| level_num | The number of the to-be-altered level. You can query the LEVEL_NUM column of the ALL_SA_LEVELS view for existing levels. |
| new_short_name | The new short name of the level, which can contain up to 30 characters in length. |
| new_long_name | The new long name of the level, which can contain up to 80 characters in length. |

The following example changes the long name and short name of the level of shield_agent_policy:
