Start deployment

After the configuration file is generated, you can use oat-cli to deploy OceanBase Cloud Platform (OCP).

Note

In three-node deployment, after you run the installation command on a server, oat-cli automatically installs OCP on the three servers based on the IP addresses and connection information in the configuration file.

Install OCP

1. On the OCP server, run the following commands to view the script help information:

   cd /root/t-oceanbase-antman
   ./install.sh -h
   Usage:  ./install.sh [OPTIONS]
   
   Options:
     -h, --help                   Print help and exit
     -d, --debug                  Print debug information
     -V, --version                Print version
     -i, --install-steps string   For example 1,3-5,7-
     -c, --clear-steps string     For example 1,3-5,7-
     -f, --config-file string     Read in a config file
     -l, --load-balance           dns | haproxy
   
   Steps:
       1. ssh authorization
       2. install load balancer (default: dns)
       3. install ob server
       4. init ocp metadb
       5. install temp OCP
       6. install obproxy
       7. install OCP
       8. POSTCHECK
       9. install OMS (optional)
       10. install ODC (optional)
   

   Based on the preceding command output, the OCP installation steps are steps 1 through 8.

2. Run the following command to install OCP:

   # n-m Perform steps n to m. -c --clear-steps string. -i --install-steps string. -f --config-file string.
   bash install.sh -i 1-8
   

   Note

   After you run the installation command on a server, the installation script automatically installs OCP on the three servers based on the IP addresses and connection information in the configuration file.

Exception handling

If an installation step fails, clear the failed step, fix the error based on the log content, and then continue the installation from the current step.

For example, the installation fails in Step 5. The log content indicates that the configuration file is incorrectly configured. In this case, correct the configuration file and run the following command:

bash install.sh -c 5 -i 5-

If the log contains the following information, OCP is deployed:
