The ISOPEN function checks whether a LOB is already opened by an input locator. This subprogram works for both internal and external LOBs.

This topic applies only to OceanBase Database Enterprise Edition. OceanBase Database Community Edition provides only MySQL mode.

Return values
If the LOB is open, the value 1 is returned, otherwise, the value 0 is returned.
Usage notes
For internal LOBs, openness is associated with the LOB, not the locator. If the LOB is opened by one locator, other locators also consider the LOB to be open. For internal LOBs, ISOPEN requires a round trip to the server and checks the status on the server to determine whether the LOB is indeed open.
