SET DECRYPTION

Purpose

You can use this statement to set a restoration password. A recovery password is required only when a password has been specified during backup.

This statement can be executed only in the sys tenant.

Syntax

SET DECRYPTION IDENTIFIED BY  ('password'[, 'password' ...]);

Parameters

Examples

• Set the same password for full backups and incremental backups.

  obclient> SET DECRYPTION IDENTIFIED BY '*******';
  

• Set different passwords for full backups and incremental backups. Enter the password for full backups in front of the password for incremental backups.

  obclient> SET DECRYPTION IDENTIFIED BY '*******','***2***';
