More concurrent sessions lead to more concurrency-based waits and longer response time.
If a tenant has n CPUs, the tenant usually has up to 10 x n user sessions that are active at the same time. In this case, each additional concurrent session needs to wait for an available worker thread before being active. The wait time can be very short if most of the sessions rapidly complete the execution of SQL statements. Therefore, more application sessions can be added to improve the overall throughput of the application.
