This topic describes how to change the topic in OceanBase Migration Service (OMS).
Application scenarios
When you create a project for synchronizing data from a database to a message queue instance, OMS allows you to change the topic after you select the topic type for synchronization.
Procedure
Configure the data synchronization project to the Select Synchronization Objects step.
For more information, see the topics for data synchronization projects of the corresponding type.
After you select the synchronization objects and mapping method, hover over the target object in the Destination Object list in the Select Synchronization Scope section and click Change Topic.
In the Map Object to Topic dialog box, change the topic to which the object is synchronized.
Note
When you synchronize data from an OceanBase database to a RocketMQ instance, only the Existing Topics mapping method is supported.
When you synchronize data from an OceanBase database to a Kafka or DataHub instance, if you do not select Schema Synchronization when you specify the synchronization type, you can select only Existing Topics. If you have selected Schema Synchronization when you specify the synchronization type, you can select only one mapping method to create or select a topic.
Click OK.
The selected topics and tables will be merged into the selected topic. Proceed with caution.
Complete subsequent project settings as prompted.
