When an exception occurs in an OceanBase Database Proxy (ODP), you can restart the ODP.
Restart a single ODP by running an SQL command
You can run SQL commands to restart a single obproxy process.
The procedure is as follows:
Log on as the admin user to the server that hosts the ODP to be restarted.
Stop the obproxy process.

Restart one or more ODPs in OCP
You can restart one or more ODPs or restart all ODPs in an ODP cluster in OceanBase Cloud Platform (OCP). For more information about how to restart all ODPs in an ODP cluster, see Restart all ODPs in an ODP cluster.
Prerequisites
You have logged on to the OCP console and are granted permissions on the ODP that you want to restart.
Considerations
Restarting an ODP interrupts the connection. Proceed with caution.
Procedure
Log on to the OCP console.
In the left-side navigation pane, click OBProxy.
In the ODP cluster list, click the target ODP cluster. Then, the Overview page of the ODP cluster appears.
Perform the following operations:

To restart a single ODP, find it in the OBProxies list and click Restart in the Actions column.

To restart multiple ODPs in batch, find the target ODPs in the OBProxies list and click Batch Restart in the upper-right corner of the list.

In the dialog box that appears, click Restart.
In the dialog box that appears, you can click View Tasks to view the progress. If the value of the Task Status field is Completed, the restart is successful.
