OB-Dashboard is a web-based, interactive management page provided by obshell. It is designed for managing resources and tenants of an OceanBase cluster. OB-Dashboard also monitors key resources and performance metrics, helping you efficiently manage your OceanBase cluster.
OB-Dashboard is fully integrated with the obshell process. Users can manage OceanBase clusters by accessing the service address where obshell is deployed. This design simplifies the management process and ensures low resource overhead, providing users with a simple and user-friendly management experience.
Features
OB-Dashboard currently supports the following features for OceanBase clusters:
Cluster management: View cluster information, including core information such as status, resource consumption, and topology, and perform cluster management and parameter management.
Tenant management: Manage tenants in the cluster and the databases, users, and parameters in each tenant. For more information, see Tenant management.
Software package management: To upgrade a cluster or obshell, make sure that the target version of the software package has been uploaded. For more information, see Software package management.
Log in and log out
Starting from V4.3.0.0, obshell allows you to interactively manage clusters through a graphical interface. After you install obshell, you can access OB-Dashboard (the interactive management page of obshell) by using the IP address and port number of the obshell node. By default, you log in to OB-Dashboard as the root user of the sys tenant. The password is the one you set for the root@sys user when you deployed the OceanBase cluster. If the root@sys password is empty, you can directly click Log On to log in.
Note
You must use the public IP address of the node.
After you log in to the OB-Dashboard console, hover the pointer over the
icon in the upper-right corner of the page, click Log Off, and then click OK in the window that appears to log out.
View the version
After you log in to the OB-Dashboard console, click Help > About OB-Dashboard in the upper-right corner of the page to view the OB-Dashboard version.
