Parameter management

This topic describes how to view and modify OceanBase cluster parameters by using OB-Dashboard.

Cluster Overview page

Click Cluster Overview in the left-side navigation pane. On the Cluster Overview page, click Parameter Management to go to the Parameter Management page.

The Parameter Management page displays the Parameter Name, Category, Current Value, Description, Restart to Apply Changes, whether the parameter is Read-only, and the operations that you can perform. To view a specific parameter, search for it in the search box in the upper-right corner of the page. You can also click the filter icon after a column to filter parameters by Category, effective scope (Current Value), effective method (Restart to Apply Changes), and whether the parameter is modifiable (Read-only).

Click Modify Value in the Actions column to modify the Value, Effective Scope, and Effective Object of the corresponding parameter. To set values for different effective scopes, click + Add Value to configure multiple values. After the configuration is complete, click OK, and then click OK in the confirmation window to complete the parameter modification.

Tenant management page

In the left-side navigation pane, click Tenant Management to go to the Tenant Management page. Click the name of a tenant in the Tenants list to go to the tenant Overview page. Then, click Parameter Management in the left-side navigation pane to go to the Parameter Management page.

The Parameter Management page displays the Parameter Name, Current Value, Description, whether the parameter is Read-only, and the operations that you can perform. To view a specific parameter, search for it in the search box in the upper-right corner of the page. You can also click the icon next to Read-only to filter parameters by whether they are modifiable.

Click Modify Value in the Actions column to modify the value of the corresponding parameter. After the modification is complete, click Submit to complete the parameter modification.
