This topic describes some cluster management operations that are supported, including starting and stopping clusters, upgrading clusters, and upgrading obshell.
Start and stop a cluster
In the left-side navigation pane, click Cluster Overview to go to the corresponding page. In the upper-right corner of the page, click Stop Cluster. In the window that appears, click Stop. OB-Dashboard submits the cluster stopping task and displays the task ID. You can click the displayed ID to view the task execution status.
Notice
Stopping a cluster will terminate all services in the cluster. Proceed with caution.

Upgrade a cluster
In the left-side navigation pane, click Cluster Overview to go to the corresponding page. Hover the pointer over ··· and click OB Upgrade in the drop-down list. On the Upgrade Version page, configure the upgrade information. After the configuration is completed, click Upgrade. In the window that appears, click OK. OB-Dashboard submits the cluster upgrade task and displays the task ID. You can click the displayed ID to view the task execution status.

| Upgrade Method | Specify the upgrade method. Two methods are supported: Rolling Upgrade and Downtime Upgrade. We recommend that you use Rolling Upgrade.

| Upgrade Version | Select the target version from the list of OceanBase Database software packages uploaded in this dashboard. If no OceanBase Database software package later than the current version is uploaded, click + Upload Software Package in the drop-down list to upload one. |
Upgrade obshell
In the left-side navigation pane, click Cluster Overview to go to the Cluster Overview page, and hover the cursor over ···. In the drop-down list, click OBShell Upgrade.
On the Agent Upgrade Version page, configure OBShell Agent Version. The version is selected from the obshell packages uploaded in the current OB-Dashboard. If no obshell package later than the current version is available in the OB-Dashboard, you can click + Upload Package in the drop-down list to upload a package.
After the configuration is completed, click Upgrade. In the window that appears, click OK. OB-Dashboard submits a task to upgrade obshell and displays the task ID. You can click the displayed ID to view the task execution status.
